About Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine is a 3,000 year-old system of medicine that includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and a host of other modalities. It is a comprehensive system that can be used to treat and prevent disease and promote wellness. Using the methods and principles of Chinese medicine, we evaluate each person individually and design a treatment plan. Sometimes acute symptoms or pain must be treated before the root imbalance may be addressed. Other conditions can only be resolved by gradually regulating the systems of the body to restore homeostasis. Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture treat internal medicine disorders as well as musculoskeletal conditions. Practitioners work closely with patients to achieve and maintain health goals.
